Hello, Im a new member here, but not new to Mustangs. Last week I sold my race red 2006 GT, and replaced it with a new Race Red 2012 GT/CS. The California Special doesn't have the 5.0 badge, as Im sure most of you know . I saw a set of hood spears on a 2011 some where on the net while car shopping, that were black, and had the 5.0 cut out of them so the color of the car came through there. Bottom line Im looking for 5.0 hood spears for my 2012 Race Red GT/CS. Any ideas where I can find some?

American Muscle sells some, and Ebay sells plenty as well.

 

I looked on Ebay and saw the hood spears but none with the 5.0 graphic. I'll check American Muscle. Thanks so much.

Here is where I got mine, I got the plain one but if you scroll down you can get custom lettering on them.

 

A "302" hood spear would be very retro!

 

Didn't know race red was offered on '06 models.

Just ordered myself a similar set off ebay. Agree on the 302 retro look. I couldn't find and so mine will have a pony. Hoping that looks alright.

 

Used them as well.. twice!

Apparently I cannot install Vinyl worth a ****! They looked straight and smooth, that is until we pealed back the top cover.. then it looked like the surface of the moon!

 

Those are similar to the ones I bought. I guess I had my head up my rear and just wasn't paying attention
