2010-2014 Mustang S-197 Gen 2 FACTORY California Special Spoiler PICS! & INSTALL!

What a difference!

The Ford Factory California Special pedestal spoiler requires assembly prior to installation and features a matte black bottom fascia.

The contrast on the High Performance White color is striking.

Along with the Silverhorse quarter windows, the contrasting black on her spoiler, rocker stripe, hood vents and gloss black/silver factory wheels really brings this Pony together.

The installation requires 4 additional holes and the kit comes complete with a template and all required fasteners, including plastic factory hole plugs that go under the trunk lid that fit perfectly.

Just wanted to share these results.

My last mustang was a 13 CS in black and I didn't care for the pedestal spoiler, but dam it does look good on your white stallion.

Did you have it painted? Was it hard to get the old one off?

That looks fantastic. I want that spoiler. I am trying to figure out where to put my factory camera.

not difficult to remove, just time consuming.

Trick is to TAKE YOUR TIME.

After removing all that adhesive (I used a 3-M remover wheel on a cordless drill) be prepared to find a heavy dirt line that will require cleaning.

Then I recommend using an orbital buffer to do the entire deck lid.

The Ford factory pedestal spoiler comes with a flat template which makes the 4 holes you'll need to drill very simple.

It also comes with two factory plastic plugs to be used where the newly exposed 3/4" holes will appear in the lip of the deck lid.

I am not sure if the aftermarket spoilers have that simple item.

I have no camera, but suggest mounting it on the license plate area.

Can't show CS's without a Race Red! Horspla, who striped yours? I keep wanting to put a set of white rally stripes on mine very similar to yours. Keep thinking that takes the CS away though.

The metalic red is painted on. Bergin in Eden Prairie did the work for me. They surpassed my expectations.

I love that spoiler, it looks fantastic. If I had a factory car and not a Roush, that would be the spoiler I would have.

I'll add mine to the list. I knew I wanted the CS spoiler for a while and that it had to be a Ford part and not aftermarket. I like to two-tone look more than the aftermarket ones that are fully painted.

It was the first modification I did to the car.

I have had my Laguna Seca Spoiler, which basically is a GT CS pedestal in black/grey. From the day I bought my mustang, I wanted pedestal Spoiler. And this came along which actually fit color scheme I am going with.

You ever think about removing that faux cap so the hoonigan decal will fit better?

Btw all these pedestals look great guys! I would've gotten one but I got a deal on the mmd ducktail that I could not pass up
