I just got the roush v6 exhaust installed and it seems louder than i had hoped. Anyone ever received a ticket for it here?

Im fine with the sound..but am worried i will recieve a ticket.

Also there is a bit of drone on 6th gear. Anyone have a fix for that?

 

I solved that same problem by taking them off and installing Flowmaster Force 2 axel backs.

Seriously, those things sound angry... Not in a good way. I couldn't deal with it. Yes they drone out when they are not chain sawing your ear drums.

 

Im new to this mustang mod stuff, but i can tell you when i put a MGP Growler on my motorcycle a few years ago, a cop almost ticketed me. With bikes its a little different cause its illegal to do ANY mods to the exhuast.. But the point is you very likely might draw attention if its too loud, from there it really just depends on what mood the cop is in. Cop didnt give me a ticket, just a warning, didnt even pull me over just went up next to me and told me to be careful lol. But im guessing had he been in another mood, id of gotten a ticket.

 

I have very loud custom exhaust on my '95 and never got a ticket for it. You should be fine.

I've heard some really loud exhausts in Cali from a couple of my friends of mine and my flowmasters, none of the have gotten ticketed. I just got pulled over for not having front plates once. Cop was cool about it just told me to get them put on and commented on how good the car sounded then left, I guess it just depends where you go?

 

Yep; the cops in Central Florida are moody. I drove with a set of Roush axle backs for all of 2 hours. Left my neighborhood. Pulled over by a local police officer. I explained I just installed them. He explained I should promptly remove them. I did.

I've refered to them as "obnoxious" loud, but getportfolio's description is better: sawing eardrums.

Sport are not CA drive-by legal.

 

Borla S-type... beautiful sound and not obnoxiously loud... has a very nice low rumble when just normal driving, but when you hit it WOT, it really roars!!

 

Dammit John stop saying that. It makes me mad to be at work right now and not able to come over and hear them myself .
