Talking Teach me :)

not sure if im posting in the right spot, Mods please move to correct area if not.

ok so i have a 2012 v6 premium on order. I am new to Mustangs and the performance field, I know i should get the GT, my v6 is almost breakin the bank as is.. Used to drive a Saturn, and it was rice , was young and dumb and dont want to go that route again. so just wanted to know what i should start to do to the stang once i get it, I will be pickin it up in Miami in july once i get back from Iraq, and was thinking about heading over to Steeda and get a tune? will be driving the mustang from Miami to Fort hood in Tx, so have plenty of road to break it in, and performance shops i might visit that you guys recommend ..
so in other words please teach me all mighty stang knowledge gods!

Edit*
will have roughly around 2k to play with...

Congrats on the order and welcome to the site! A tune is a great place to start, and often will be where you get the most value of horsepower for the money. there are a lot of Texans around these parts, and I rekon someone can help you find a good speed shop. There are also great companies that sell dyno tested and proven tunes through mail order like Breenspeed, American Muscle, Steeda, and so on...so research it out, take your time, and enjoy your new ride when it gets here!

I say drive it as is for a few months to make sure there are no warranty issues that arise. Then I would go with the intake and tune. So many tuners out there its hard to pick one. Oh and stated above thank-you for your service stay safe

Yes. Congratulations on your order. I got my 2008 Shelby GT through Military Overseas Car Sales and got $5700 under MSRP. It's a great deal. I was on a 15 month deployment in Iraq so I understand your emotions. This will give you something to look forward to. Stay safe and thanks for your service.
