Sway Bar Question

Hi guys. Long time reader...first time poster. I want to buy a sway bar take-off from a GT on the Roush site. Will this upgrade make much of a diferene in handling? Is it worth the money? Thanks

i'd say go after market...probably a bit more money...but a real hotchkis or some brand like that will be way better imo

You probably won't notice a difference. Like nastynte said, go aftermarket, and get a front/rear bar kit, like the Eibach adjustables. I did that in December (the eibach), and the difference is amazing.

This is exactly what I did on my 2102 base V6 and if the GT sway bars are installed as a F&R set, then you will notice an improvement. But don’t expect your mustang to have the “ride on rails” feel, because it just isn’t there. The Roush GT take off sway bars are the same part number as the V6 performance package sway bars. They are +1 mm larger in diameter (F&R) than the V6 base sway bars. If your handling needs go beyond daily driver and grocery getter duties, then aftermarket bars would be a much better choice for the money spent.

I’m adding the rest of the GT take off parts to my low buck suspension swap, here’s my thread that touches on part of it:

I have the V6 Performance Package on my 13, although the bars helped, I am sure most of the better handling came with the struts, shocks and front springs from the GT as well as the summer only tires.
My car also has very little rake to it (3/8 of an inch) so I am also wondering if it has a different weight transfer than the stock V6.
