Roush or MRT axle-backs?
Roush or MRT axle-backs?
Hey guys, I know this is a topic that has been beat to death but after doing as much research as I can online, going through forums, numerous threads and watching many videos I believe I have found 2 exhausted I am interested in. The sound clips I understand do not do justice and my opinion varies on the Roush from video to video(sometimes it sounds too ricer-ish and high-pitched) but sometimes it sounds great. The MRT's sound great to me but they aren't talked about much on the forums which makes me weary. They are priced the same so there is no winner there.
I have 2 questions:
1.Is the MaxThunder by MRT only for the 11/12 making the MRT interceptor my choice?
2.Which do you guys feel provides a better sound?

But - You get tired of the lack of talk?

Maybe you mean LEERY?

Last time I checked with my local Ford dealer he recommended I stay away from the Roush A/B due to the rust issue others have mentioned in other threads.
Has this issue been resolved? If not I would stay away from them until it is.

I do enjoy the sound of the FRPP exhaust, just not digging the price tag. If I wait till after the winter to buy the exhaust it won't be a problem, but since I've had 8 extra weeks to put more money down on the car I'm looking to go around $500 and purchase now. If I can be convinced to wait a few months and not put them on now then maybe I will consider the FRPP or even the Borla ATAK's. My first order of business is a window tint and tuner/CAI.
look under your car, you have it.
It's really personal preferance. I have Roush on mine and I love them, and I have no rust issues after a year of driving in Germany, I have rust but no through like some people had. My buddy had the Borla's and even though they were louder they were not as deep. And with his new '13 that arrives this week he ordered Roush's for it due to liking the deeper tone of mine. But like I said its all preferance. There are alot of good brands out there.

Yeah Borla does make the FRPP exhaust . . . probably the best sounding axlebacks out there. They're the same price as a full catback though, they just seem pretty expensive for two mufflers.
The FRPP is the deepest sounding V6 muffler... Roush is loud but raspy.
Vids of the Roush I had on my V6 and my friend's full Bassani set up:
