Roush axle backs for V6

I know exhausts get talked about a lot... I just ordered a roush axle back for my 14 v6 premium and was wondering from guys who have had it for a while how happy are you with it? Do I need to get glasspack resonators as well? I'm not expecting a v8 sound, just something that lets me know I'm driving a mustang. I also have a airaid cai(no tune, scared of warranty issues). Feedback from roush exhaust owners would be really appreciated!

It isn't the "loudest" system out there but it is loud when you get on it. If you do an easy take off and just cruise then you are fine. Many with V8s will scoff at you mostly because it is a v6 but the sound is quite good. Nothing like driving under a bridge and doing a small rev of the engine. There is a lot of popping as well that comes from it but it is up to you if you like that. I love it. Reminds me of actual race cars and super cars. I am going to say my personal opinion and say that the sound is more exotic sounding than muscle car.

I got a cat-back exhaust with quads.... its 2.5" from the cats, back. I get A LOT of people on the street asking me if its a V8 .... it sounds crazy aggressive. has zero drone. the weathers warming up, I'm hoping to make a new video from the current exhaust setup.

Thanks guys. I'm picking mine up at UPS today and I think I'll just take it to Midas or something to get it installed. Anyone added glasspack resonators to theirs? If so, how much did that cost?

It seems to me that my Roush mufflers' sound has mellowed somewhat with use; I have approx. 10,000 miles on them now, and the sound doesn't seem quite as aggressive... maybe it's all in my mind.

Also, FWIW, the installation really isn't all that hard if you have a floor jack and stands. You could do it (alone, or with a friend's help) and save that install fee to help fund another mod.

I had the Pype Bomb axle back and it had way to much drone and didn't have the tone that I was looking for. Maybe, the Roush is the way to go.

Just finished installing them. The sound when you first it on is AMAZING! I love these exhausts, it also looks awesome. Loud but not overly loud unless you want to be loud. I'm extremely happy so far

I have them. I had them for 20k miles without a CAI and 10k with a CAI, didn't notice much difference sound wise. It is loud, and in the summer it will pop A LOT in 1st and 2nd when shifting. In the winter it sounds deeper and there is no popping at all. I've had guys in tire shops mistake my car for a v8, even though it doesn't sound like one. It doesn't sound like a v6 either

I might go with some resonators to get rid of the popping, but waiting on someone else with resonators to chime in.

Ugh but this takes effort lol

I'll try getting some vids this weekend. Give me something to do after the big car show I am going to.

I know what you mean. It's not too bad if you just take the videos on your smartphone and just upload it directly to youtube from there, saves on a lot of time and effort of transferring stuff around.

Installed mine over the weekend. It sounds nice, but so much popping. Sometimes it actually sounds like it's backfire. Is there anything that can be done to stop some of the popping?

The people that said they don't have any popping, do you have other mods like xpipe, tune?

Imbrace the popping lol. I love it. Makes it sound like a race car going around a track. IMO
