Need help deciding on a muffler

I just got my 2014 V6 Mustang and I want a deep and loud sounding muffler. Can you leave some examples of that category.

I've got Bassani's on my car and it may be what you are looking for as far as a deep sound.

There is a sound clip at American Muscle website and you can listen to them here.

I was amazed that they lowered the price too. I paid over $500 a couple years ago and now they are in the Roush axle back price range.

What I did when I bought mine was I went to American muscle and looked at what they had, I went to Youtube and looked up videos of those mufflers so I can hear what they sound like. I wanted a deep sound without a loud rasp. That's why I went with Bassani and I'm glad I did.

I second that for Bassanis. I have had them on my 13 since late 2012 and have never heard anything better. Deep rumble at startup, at idle nice and exotic sounding, then WOT is crazy. With the windows up I can hear it echoing off other cars as I pass them.

I would suggest a borla s-type. They have a deep throaty sound and there is 0 drone. A little pricey though.

Here is my personal sound clip:

Ford Racing GT 500 Best sound out there. Not to Loud till you punch it. East swap and you can get single or Dual outlet.

I run Borla Stingers (S-type).....sounds wonderful no drone. Love the popping and cackle on downshift....I am looking at removing the resonators to increase the rumble some more in time with Tune port headers too. Also removing the boat anchor factory exhaust from the back of the car will give you a reduction in weight.

Seem like everyone thinks 'their' axle backs are the best sounding.....

I run Magnaflow Streets most of the time but am running my Magnaflow Competitions (muffler delete) at the moment.

If i had to do it all over again, i 'think' i might have gone with Borla S type.

I think these sound great, factory gt500 quad tip exhaust. This is what I'm using on my v6 project car. They sounds more exotic and less ricer IMHO. You can pick these up used for around $250-350 on eBay but will need to be modified to fit the smaller mid pipes. I won mine in an auction for $150 plus $30 shipping. You will need to cut your bumper and add the gt500 valance panel, usually around $150. The place to cut the bumper is molded in to the v6 mustang bumper, there are also holes to drill that are marked already. There's a good YouTube video out there on exactly how to do it if you liked these. All the cuts are hidden by the panel so it's pretty easy.

Just waiting on having my s-types shipped here. Can't wait to throw them on my '14. Haven't heard em in person, but if they sound good on the internet, and with headphones on, then theu have to sound even better in person. Have had a borla system on my 05 scion since the second week I had that as well since I bought that car new as well, and even that sounded excellent on that car and not ricey at all. Nice deep tones all around and just howls when you floor it. Can't lose with them.

^ I had magnaflows on my 2009 eclipse 4 cylinder. They sounded good.

But these borla s-types on a v6 sound amazing. No rasp no drone no cabin noise. Deep throaty note. Just perfect. You'll be really happy the first time you hear it in person after installing it!

I like the sound of Dynomax. It has a nice rumble at idle yet loud when you open it up.
