Just bought some goodies from American Muscle
My mustang has a little over 2000 miles and I finally decided on my first set of mods. I just ordered the SCT iTSX Wireless Tuner with the Airaid CIA from American Muscle. I can't wait for them to arrive.
I was going to add a new set of axel backs to go with it but I just haven't had the chance to hear any in person yet, so Im gonna hopefully get to the American muscle event in August and take a listen of as many as I can. The sound clips online are all starting to sound the same to me. I was thinking about the Flowmasters force ll , Borla Touring or maybe the S Type. But who knows..

dball584,
You're going to love the new CAI Airaid/Bama setup. The throttle response is significantly better than factory!
Thanks for supporting us, we appreciate your business! I can't wait for the Car Show in August too. It's going to be incredible, with almost a thousands different Mustangs there, I'm sure you'll be able to find the exhaust you want!
Let me know if there's anything you need and enjoy the new power!
Shane
Thanks Shane. I found out later after I ordered that the Airaid was on back order. I was temped to switch to the JLT but I waited this long, I can wait a bit longer. Thanks for all your help.

I just looked in our Airaid 11-13 v6 intakes and our inventory says we just got a ton in stock! This was the Airaid intake you ordered correct? If you haven't gotten a shipping confirmation yet, PM me your order number and I'll see what's going on!

I got the tracking info late on Friday and according to ups tracking the boxes were out for delivery at 6am this morning. It's 12 hours later now ar 6pm in NJ and I'm still waiting ....
If it's out for delivery, you should have the CAI by tomorrow afternoon!
It doesn't say out of stock anywhere for me. Are you guys still seeing that somewhere? Can you send me a link if you are? I'm confused why everyone's getting mixed results.
Thanks!
Shane
Well it all showed up tonight about 30 minutes after my last post. I did the bama tune first. It took about 10 minutes to connect and load the 87 Street tune. I made the mistake of sitting in the car when I started it. It was about 91 degree out at the time. As I sat waiting for the tune to load in I was worried to open the door as the install already started. I just didn't want to mess up the process by accidentally triggering the door ajar alert. I sweating my *** off even with the windows down. Anyway the tune completed and then I was on to the Airaid install.
The old air box came out in about 3 minutes. This was the easiest part. Next thing you know I'm outside for about 2 hours trying to complete the install. I know I know - Everyone says its a tight install. I knew this going in to this. But It was such a pain to connect the tube to the throttle body. I just had such a hard time stretching it over. The last thing I wanted to do was use any lubricants in the throttle body or air tube. But it was just to frustrating and I had to do something. I took the Airaid air box out of the car and then allowed myself to have more room to work the tube into the throttle body. I took a can of WD-40 and sprayed some onto a paper towel and just dabbed it around the rubber edge of the air tube.
It still took a while even with the WD-40. Next part that was just as frustrating was getting the tube into the air box. In the end it took me a little over 2 hours to get it all installed.
I fired up the engine and the sound is really really nice. Deep growl that is very nice. I have some before and after footage on my iPhone. I will upload them tomorrow.
After I cleaned up the tools I took her for a spin. With the bama 87 street tune I can not say I noticed any improvements. I only drove it for about 5 minutes up and down the main road where i live. I did not feel the improved throttle response... I will take it out on the highway tomorrow night after work and let you guys know if I feel a difference.

It's not something that's going to be night and day difference, but to me it feels noticeable. One of those things where after driving with it on, you'll really notice it when going back to stock.

Hey guys,
We did have a little bit of an inventory error, so sorry about that. We have TONS of these intakes coming in over the next few business days. Hopefully by Friday they'll be back in inventory and orderable on the site. They're expected no later than 7/20.
If you want, you can place an order on the phone and we won't charge your card until it ships out, or you can click the "Notify Me When Back In Stock" button and we'll shoot you an email when they're here!
Thanks and sorry for the confusion!
