GT Springs on a V6

Hey guys, so i've been reading up a bit on other forums and on google.

2011-2014 OEM GT Springs WILL fit on a 2011-2014 V6.

My question is will the ride be as comfortable as the stock v6 springs?

My understanding is that the V6 performance package springs already come with GT Struts and Springs.

Has anybody put OEM gt springs on a v6? Is the ride bouncy like lowering springs? Or is just just like stock V6 OEM springs?

Chime in! Let me and others know!

Just about everyone who lowers their V6 use GT springs. Its okay to use GT springs. I used Steeda lowering springs made for the V6. I don't know if they ride better or not than the people who use GT springs. I'm happy with them but i'm sure the ones who use GT springs are too

I just replaced the springs on my 2011 GT. I had purchased the vehicle already lowered with Eibach springs. Since it was messing with my alignment, I raised it with Ford performance springs by an inch. The ride is much better, smoother and able to absorb bumps better. It is nowhere near my old Mercury Marquis on ride comfort, but the difference is quite notable.

Yeah stock springs are always most comfortable.

Anybody else? 2011-2014 GT OEM springs used on a 2011-2014 V6?

By Part numbers the fronts springs and struts are 2007 Shelby on the Performance Package.

Why? Difference from base models is minimal at best, it's not really any lower, either.

Could just toss that money towards springs that actually change something, i.e. lower springs or heavier springs for whatever you're looking to do.

It will actually raise the front up to a half inch since the GT weighs more in the front.

I have this guy who has about 5 sets of GT springs. And im looking to go back to stock.

So wanted to know if the ride will be smoother than my lowering springs if i use stock GT springs. That's all

I had Eibach springs and installed Ford performance springs. The ride is smoother and less jarring going over bumps compared to the Eibach springs. My wife is amazed at the difference. She truly was uncomfortable when the old springs were in when we went driving.

It wouldn't be an upgrade IMO. You'll get a slightly stiffer spring but you'll increase the ride height. That isn't good from a performance standpoint and almost everyone would agree that it's not good from an aesthetic standpoint. If you don't want it to be much less comfortable than stock but you still want an upgrade, I would suggest the BMR street springs.

Yeah Gator, when you increase ride height, you lose performance.

But gain a smoother ride, less bumpy. And the GT springs will sit a little bit higher on the v6 front because GT's are heavier.

So nobody has done this lol?

My ride isn't too bad. Its a little bumpy. But it has a moderate drop. 1" front and 1.5" rear

How much is your drop with the ford springs?

I'm assuming no body has done this because of what's been mentioned above, already. Even just for the sake of a softer ride, I would never put stock GT springs on my v6 car only to end up with the front end pointed slightly upward, it's going to look stupid. I'll keep the rough ride.

^ Stock always looks stupid. There are no ifs or buts or any doubt about that.
