Great info here, and big thanks to the5. I have been looking to do the GT style fog lights to my mustang as well (but i don't already have the lower fogs). So its good to see others have done this successfully as well. Thanks all.

Verry nice! Glad to see that the rain didn't stop you. 3 hours sounds just fine for having to take the bumper off and put it back on. Were there any hard parts about this or advice that you can give? Do you need to get the front lifted, or do you think this can be done without? I have ordered the parts to do this as well and hope to have it don't by the new year.

Ok, i got the new grille in and installed as well. It tooke me a bit longer about 4.5 hours to do. I don't have ramps or anything to life the car with so i did it all on the ground. the ramps or even some jacks would help, but i managed without.
The first step from the instructions caused took me some extra time as they tell you to remove two different kinds of bolts for the lower splach guard, however on my car there was only one kind of bolt, not a big deal, but it did make me take some extra time to ensure i was doing things correctly and not undoing something i shouldn't be. After that things went smoothly. Until i got to the end of the wiring, the last wire that needs to be run inside the car and go from the drivers side to the passenger side took me a while to get it fed through properly as well as to the it plugged into the proper place, there isn't very much room to work down there.
An extra set of hands for some of this is a definate help to keep things in place while re attaching parts or just for pulling them off.
All in all, pretty easy to do, i just spent a lot more time on it than needed. Here is the quick snap of it as it was just too cold outside to stand out and do a nice photo shoot (not to mention she needs a bath pretty badly).

So if I buy a 13 GT Grill with fogs, will I need the GT surround? Or is the surround usually sold with the grill?
That surround is $150, so this entire mod would cost like $400?

i hear on the 2013 models it is a completely different mounting style for the clips and nothing from a gt will fit on a v6...its so lame cause v6 grills suck *** and the gt gets all the good ones...

hmmmmmm... I have a GT.... I switched grilles to the California Special.. yanked off old grille, swapped on new. The only exception is OBVIOUSLY the one that has foglights built into it's surround. In my case, I had to cut off the GT fogs or get a new surround. I cut the fogs.
