Gears

Hey guys. Been looking into gears for awhile but im torn on what gears to get, 3.73 or 4.10. I know the difference between the two and I'm only asking because I have the 3.31 gears from the factory. Are 3.73 gears worth it since it's a small jump or is the gain worth it. I have a 6 speed btw

I went from 3.31s to 3.73s and I felt they were worth the money. I like that I still also get decent gas mileage too. I really don't think you get much more performance out of the 4.10s anyway. I know on paper you'd think you would, but it doesn't seem to work that way in reality.

Great question. I've had both the 3.73's and the 4.10's and I would recommend Ford Racing's 4.10's hands down, they're definitely worth it! What's your daily commute like mileage wise? The 4.10's have been known to eat up fuel a little more than the 73's but this is really going to be dependent upon how much you're dipping into the throttle, other mods, etc. The 10's are going to get the car off the line faster and I can't stress enough how much of a different animal they make the car feel. I'm sure we'll get a few more people to comment on this as well. If you don't have our Forums discount code shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up!

What is need after the gear install to correct for the lower gear on an automatic trans and will it void the warranty?
