Bama tune question

Do you have to load the stock tune in the car before you switch from one custom tune to another?

Yes!! The tuner will back up the last tune on the car and if you don't put the stock tune back on first you could lose it. At least that's how my Diablo intune tuner works.

We recommend returning to stock if you're updating your device firmware. In between tunes you're good to go and don't need to switch back to stock! If something were to go wrong, we could always recover your stock tune but we've never had to do this before.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance.

For those of you withan 11-12 v6 and had it tuned, what kind of experience did you have after installing the tunes? And also what other mods did you have?
Because i still have my old tuner from when i had my 02 but its locked to that car which no longer exists. Im wanting to send it to the Bama guys to get it reflashed for my 12 sixxer.
Also Dan (from AM) how much would that cost since i already have the tuner?

You can use your old tuner for you new Mustang if you get it unlocked. You need to send the device back to SCT to be unlocked, this cost a one time fee of $150. Once the device is unlocked, we can then tune the car. To buy into the free tunes for life program you're looking at a one time fee of $150. So you'll basically have about $300 bucks into this tuner, if you want to use it again on your current 11+ V6.

I hope this helps!

I'm not 100% sure if any Tuners or Custom tunes are going to be going on sale at this time. But we can definitely work with you to give you the best price possible! With our Free Standard Shipping and 6% forums Exclusive discount, we're already the lowest price out there. But I have no problem working with you to guarantee that you're satisfied!

Hope this helps. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions and I'll make sure you're taken care of!

Hello, Dan. I was wondering what benefits a Bama tune would have on a 2013 V6 automatic?

It would turn your 13 V6 into a mini beast that would make thousands of hot, trashy woman crave you and your bad 13 V6. It would send blood rushing to you're Johnson every time you nail the go pedal down to the floor. It would make you realize how poor the factory tune is and how sloppy the factory shift points are.

On a serious note, Here are the benefits of a bama tune or any tune.

Faster acceleration mid to high range
Increased HP and Torque
Better off line acceleration
Way better throttle response
Amazing firm shift points
Pulls harder

Do you get better mpg with the race tune w/ bama? I got the MPT tune and my mpg dropped to 14 mpg from 23 mpg on the city.. Did you get the same mpg with your MPT tune? I know you have those.. Just wondering..

Holy good god bro. 18-20 mpg highway????????? Are you driving 130 mph the entire time on the highway? Lmao. Dude, I'm getting 26 mpg all day long highway doing between 70 and 75 mph and that's even having 3:73 gears. Now city driving , I have no clue because I don't live in or near a city. 14 mpg for a our V6 seems on the low side to me.
