I did mine about six months ago. I did not want to go with just flat black so I plastidipped the wheels and shot them over with graphite lacquer which looks good on my car. Here are a couple shots of my car and one of another guys wheel in black. I think they look so much better than the silver painted wheels Very easy to do but recommend you use a spraygun to do it. Picked one up at Harbor Freight for about $10. Lays a much better finish than the rattle cans

Thanks! They look great. Did you use an electric spray gun or pneumatic?

Thanks Guys! As one of my co-workers put it, there are 40' jobs - it looks got at 40' and this is a 10' job - still looks good at 10'. Much closer and you begin to see some of the inconsistencies. I should have found the right color lacquer paint and shot over the smooth plasti-dip for a better finish but, I am pretty happy with the results. Yes, Virginia - you can paint over plasti-dip! The wheels are holding up pretty well and with the exception of a touch up or two along the bead, they are like the day I shot them. I did have to do a wheel over again when the tire needed a patch (took a huge bolt through the tread). While the damage was just along the bead, I redid the entire wheel but got some orange peel because I used rattle cans and rushed a bit. This stuff holds up pretty well in any case!
Laroh, I used my garage compressor. The detail gun was very light and easy to get around the angles. I think the electric one on dipyourcar.com is just a little bulky especially if you shoot with the wheel on the rim using the 3x5 card mask. Clip one of the cards with the airbrush and you can be cleaning the wheel up and starting over. Let me know if you have any questions and would love to see what you end up doing.

I helped a friend 4 months ago on his rims. We used black plasti-dip spray cans you get a Lowes. He drives his car pretty hard and been to the car wash many times and they still look good.

I did mine in black with silver metalizer spray. The pictures don't really do it justice. Looks sick in person.

Looks great! I can't wait to do mine. I just got some cans from Lowes this weekend to do it it the rain delayed my plans.

Hey Laroh, I "retired" my plastidipped wheel in favor of these Roush take offs from ebay
Since this is my daily driver and not upgrading to a larger wheel, I decided to ditch the dip because I would be replacing the tires in a few months anyway. For $600 (with free shipping) I got these beauties with new BFG, mounted and balanced, and ready to roll
The TPMS is self learning so I did not need do anything! The sad truth about plastidip on wheels is that it will get messed up if they have to dismount the tires and no worries about tire dressing lifting the dip

They look great! I like them a lot.
I decided not to dip the wheels after all. I played around with PD on them but I just wasn't entirely happy.

Car looks great. The black wheels go nicely with the black on the bottom and the stripe. The louvres look nice too. I thought I like the little ones better, however the large louvres look terrific on your car.

These are the stock rims that came with my 13 Premium v6. I love them. It's the biggest surprise with the car so far. I haven't seen too many with them because everyone is getting the Mustang Club package or Performance Package.

I agree! These were take offs from Roush and I was so stoked when they arrived. Funny thing is they are actually an improved version of AR331007DA which were shown in some of the original '10 factory drawings but were only silver painted 18" wheels. Also the center of the spokes are now hollowed out. The machined aluminum and sterling grey pockets just look phenominal for stock wheels - the pictures do not do them justice

Just got it done a month ago. Matt finish with reflective blue strips. Looks sick.

Please ignore the background of the pics. Was unable to change it.
