3.7 V6 JLT intake w/o tune

Well I finally had time to install my JLT intake on my 2011 V6 3.7 last night. This is just an intake without adding a tune.
This is my daily driver so I am not gonna do much more to it.
Car seems to have more power down low as well as thru the gears.
The pedal response has also gotten better with the intake added. I guess it lets more air into the TB.
Also the car has a louder deeper exhaust note with just the Intake added.
The car now feels a lot like my 05 GT when it was stock back in the day.
I will continue to test it and see if it increasees my gas mileage.
The install took about 30 mins taking my time and the product is a quality part. Good bang for the buck for anyone wanting to add a bit of performance without adding a tune.
Thanks Jay for a Great Product once again and making my long ride to and from work more fun!

If you are using 87 octane, switch to 93 and you will be very close to the CAI/tune combination output power.

Okay so took a little trip this morning to get some readings on mileage. 40 mile trip on the highway into a 15 MPH headwind with AC on. Got 30 MPG. On the way back I rolled down the windows and got 33 MPG. Both were done at 65 MPH. Seems like if you go faster it starts to drop. This is an Automatic with 2.73 gear.

Keeping it under 2,000RPM seems to be the sweet spot. I'm able to manage nearly 30mpg in 70/30 mixed driving with my CAI and performance tune driving between 65-75mph.

Sounds like you are having too much fun with it! I have been able to get a bit over 16 MPG on my 05 GT with the Super Charger on it.

The last mustang I had was an 04 GT Vert AT. The 2011 V6 that have is just so much more fun. How can you not stay off the gas. :-)

Lucky you

I'm struggling to get over 19

On the 101 cali freeway.. going 65 will get you rear ended. I got 80 and with my 3.31 the RPMs are pretty high

Glad to know I'm not the only one getting crap for mileage.

I installed this CAI today as well. Holy crap...this thing is more impressive than I thought it was going to be. I was also shocked at how it changed the sound of the engine. I didn't realize it was going to sound that good when I hit the road to test it, I couldn't believe how it sounded and the increased power.

I have said the same thing many times. The JLT CAI makes just about as much power as a tune alone and does slightly improve mpgs. Unfortunately there are a lot of doubters out there. I highly recommend a Bama tune. You see as of an improvement on top end, but idle, mpgs, smoother power delivery and improved low end torque await you. I feel they work best when used together.

I get around 22 MPG stock, and that's with my foot in the gas! Heavily in the gas most of the time.

OK I get it under 2000 is the sweetspot for MPG... But once on the highway, the car wants to live around 2750

Any chance you can upload a video for us to hear the difference in sound of the exhaust just from adding the CIA?
