3.7 Driveshaft and Safety Loop

I'm considering a solid aluminum driveshaft and safety loop for my 2012 V6.

I'm pretty settled on a Shaftmasters but would like to hear what others may have as well as whether or not a GT safety loop will mount under the V6 cars as well. If no, which did you use?

Thanks!

Driveshaft loop should fit fine, it bolts onto common fasteners that are on both cars.

There are only two choices for shafts, shaftmasters and the one American Muscle sells.

Either one should work fine, shaftmasters is less $$$.

Only thing to be aware of is that if you run 4.10 or deeper gears you may get close to the shaft critical speed on those driveshafts if you get above 115-120 mph depending on the tire size you run.

I'm on stock 2.73s in my convertible. I'm not looking at it from a performance standpoint for future power additions or tune. I'm not going to get into cutting up my car for a roll bar either so I'm just looking for a little extra safety for the drag strip and autoX course.

Good thoughts and I appreciate the input. I'm going to get a shaft and loop on the way soon but still am open to discussion and anecdotes.

Thanks again.
