So this year I been doing my research like everyone else has on new exhausts for my 2011 mustang v6. I originally liked the Borla stingers but I wasn't to fond of spending that much. Basically what I am looking for is an exhaust that is louder then stock but nothing overly loud like the Borla Attak axle back. Also nothing that will give me a headache in the drivers seat. I been doing a lot of research on two main exhausts, the Roush axle back and the Flowmaster axle back. The Roush is priced decently but I read a LOT Of negative posts about it saying that it is too loud inside the cabin, that turned me off. And the other exhaust that is priced the best is the Flowmaster Force II. Im just afraid its too quiet. Listening to clips online is very difficult to grasp the true sound as you all know so can I please have everyone's feedback on these two exhausts and based on what I've said which one do you think would fit what I am looking for. Thanks everyone!

What it sounds like you need is GT or GT500 take-off mufflers, they require cutting and welding on the inlet pipe to install them but any halfway decent muffler shop could handle that.

Well I just want to say that I went along with the flowmasters. I haven't installed them yet, I have to wait until I take my car out of storage for the winter. Next I am planning on adding an Araid cold air intake. Any opinions? What kind of sound difference will adding a CAI do to my mustang? Will it make the exhaust tone deeper?

Thanks bud, I was definitely thinking it and I am positive I will go with it now. A tune would be nice but I know it voids the warranty and I'm definitely not interested in doing that right now. Definitely something I can do in the future though. Just really looking forward to hearing the new axle back and the intake once I get them installed! I remember this time last year being excited waiting to go and order my car and now with the excitement of these two mods it's like the same feeling

Im in the same boat with the tune. I just don't want to mess with the warranty on a brand new car for like 20 hp. Haha. Lookin forward to hearing that exhaust! I have been thinking about some axle backs as well

I'm glad I am not the only one. And don't worry, I will send you a video as soon as it is installed. I know its tough finding good videos online. But it won't be until at least April first haha. That's the price you pay in New York state.

I had the Flowmaster on the V6.. it's a little bit louder than stock. I think that's what you're looking for.
The Roush is a lot louder, but the FRPP is probably the best sounding one. The ATAK sounds good but you'd think it was a Z not a Mustang, even if it's a V6

I have install the flowmaster axle back on my 2012 v6 mustang and I got to day it has a very nice deep tone compare to stock. I have no CAI yet all stock still. When u step on it u can hear it roar but still not that loud compare to like borla ATAK. And I am in the same boat about voiding warranty with tuner so I probably get the CAI first then the tuner will be after my warranty expires. With the flowmaster it is quiet when u cruise out calmly and just cruising around. Its not loud where you can hear yourself.

Well what really sold me on the flowmasters is the fact that everyone says its a really nice deep rumble during idle and regular driving but not overly loud which is just what I'm looking for. And I hear if you step on it, it's sounds dirty. Seriously can't wait anymore.

I have the Flowmasters as well but you should consider adding the Airaid CAI. It really make the car sound AWESOME during spirited driving! I love underpasses
