I love the nice deep sound of my Magnaflow street series mufflers on my V-6. Not too loud not too quiet. They are the perfect sound for me. They come with a 'lifetime warranty'. Also while i installed (very easy) them, they were a perfect fit and seem to weight about half as much as the factory mufflers.

I think the competition series would be too loud for my (old as hell LOL!!!) taste according to the video's i've seen.

Wow that thing sounds like a fricken diesel (under the hood at least). I'm loving the Roush exhaust on the 3.7 though!

I hesitated to read this post after I already $$ committed to an exhaust setup Hopefully it will have a good sound with additional ponies.

They all sound great. Music to the ears, even stock. I can't wait to hear the FRPP sports on top of the BBK headers. I will definitely post a video. BBK parts are on nationwide backorder till 31 Jan.

I also prefer deeper and not too loud too, so I bought the Magnaflow Street Series Axleback for our 2011 V6 MCA Pkg back on 12/26/2010 when I could get it for just $450.46 shipped. My wife thought I was crazy for purchasing something for a car that wasn't even built back then. We still don't have the car, and in addition, I also purchased an OE pedestal spoiler and GT500 rear fascia. The spoiler has been painted and everything is waiting for the new stang to arrive. It was built on 1/7 and is now on a CSX train headed to So. FL, which earlier today departed Waycross, GA on it way to Winston, FL, so it's getting close.

Nice video. First time I have heard this tapping noise. Yikes! The Roush mufflers are sharp with the chrome. My FRPP sports are still in the box. The FRPP tips are chrome of course but the mufflers are SS. Not as sharp looking as the Roush.

My 1998 had ticking, so does my 2011, so I figured it that was it

Don't know about your '98 but the 3.7 V6 in the 2011 is not a real quiet motor as it has solid tappets. But some, like the one in that video, are louder than others. If yours doesn't have the real loud tapping then you probably have nothing to worry about.

they are shiny - Even though I don't have them installed yet, I opened the box and checked them out - the mufflers look dull, grey and boring compared to the tips



what I was talking about (the point I was trying to make...if you follow me) was that only tips being shiny and polished on the FRPP setup - while the whole enchilada is shiny and polished on the Roush pictures posted

I don't care because it's not visible, but it looks nice to see the whole setup dressed out

sorry if I wasn't clear - tail in leg no longer wagging, time to go check out the Shelby GT forums and I used to think they were a tough crowd (hahaha!)

Not ball busting, just saying what the deal was on the FRPP tips.

FRPP mufflers are 409 stainless and tips are 304 stainless. 409 doesn't polish up and stay pretty like the 304 on the tips.

The shell and the tips on the Roush are both 304 while the rest of it is 409 that is why the mufflers on it shine up so well.
