2010 aftermarket shifter

Any input on a after market shifter.
Anyone have good suggestion

I replaced stock with hurst short throw.
Not going into 2 nd gear @ high rpms.
Like slamming into a brick wall.

That's not the fault of the shifter, all it is is a stick on a pivot ball.

2010 V6 cars still use a modified T5 transmission don't they?

This is in a 2010 v8 4.6 liter.

What could be the issue.

Well bud, this is the V6 tech forum...

As to what the problem might be, maybe a synchro issue.

I have done a lot of research on this subject. We have a MT-82 transmission with a remote shift box. The problem is in the set up. Ford uses a flimsy bracket and rubber bushing with actual zip ties to keep things in place. Shame on Ford.

When you change gears especially at high revs the motor is leaning one way and when you shift the remote box wants to go the opposite way. Torque twist. There are 2 things you can do to solve this problem and shift rocket fast.

First I purchased the Steeda short throw shifter and white cue ball ****. After install I adjusted it to fit so the stick moved into the gates smoothly.

Second I purchased and installed the Steeda shifter base bushing with black insert.

This is an incredible difference. 2 people that know our trans have driven it hard and not missed a shift or hit a wall trying go into 2nd or 6th.

My favorite thing is I can now shift with my fingers. 3rd to 4th is almost too smooth.

If you have questions please ask. I spent 4 months researching before I did this.

Edit.
I just noticed you have a 10 v8. Sorry but this won't help. For any 2011 up this will.
