'14 AT - Best Sounding Exhaust??

I just bought the '14 V6 AT and really want to upgrade the exhaust.

This is my daily driver but I am not worried about MPG's etc.

I just really want a deep throaty exhaust sound. Was hoping some of you guys could give me what would sound best for the AT.

I owned a '03 GT a few years ago and it had some Flowmasters on it that were nice. You could hear them from a block away, nice deep sound too.

This is my first post and I am a newbie, I am not mechanically inclined so forgive me if I have broken any unwritten rules. I love Mustangs and really just want to get the best out of mine.

I will post pics of her soon.

First question is what do you plan to do exhaust wise? Just Axle Backs (mufflers only)? Cat Back exhaust (pipes from the cats back including mufflers)? Replacing headers? Replacing Mid Pipe? Depending on how you answer those questions greatly effects the answer to what kind of exhaust to put on. For example if you are putting long tube headers with an off-road x-pipe the mufflers you want to put on may be different than if you were just staying stock headers or shorty headers. More information is needed sir, and congrats on the purchase.

Short tube headers and Borla, Ataks are the loudest from Borla but I have the Touring on mine. It is a good sound for the 3.7 and as long as you leave the stock Cats and resonators in it doesn't get raspy.
BTW You will get a different answer from different people, Exhaust note is an acquired taste for the sound, some like the Raspiness and others will live with the drone, I desided on a set up that had neither.

Those are very good questions. For now, I will say I probably just want Axle Back. Keeping everything else stock.

I saw these : http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...mb-1113v6.html

I read some reviews that muffler deletes make it sound horrible ??

I recommend getting Magnaflow Street Series axle-backs, which is what I have. They are very deep-sounding, and if later you decide to go with an off-road mid-pipe, then they will not be obnoxiously loud. I also have a Magnaflow Off-Road X-pipe.

I have the Roush ab, and I like them more than some others I've heard in person. They are probably one of the loudest you can get without anything else. Like others said though, you will have people saying all different makes of ab's. It's just personal preference.

I have a manual transmission and I'd say it makes it a lot louder than the auto, I have BBK shorty headers, FRPP x pipe, and borla s type's and it's a nice deep rumble at idle and it sounds great at WOT and it's not too loud if you don't get on it. But just s types you'd love em! If not add the headers and x pipe

Seriously lol, I started with just roush axle backs and it was just stupid loud even when I wasn't trying to be on it, it would be too much, i feel like the roush are too raspy too, that's why I went with the deeper better sounding borla S types, with the added x pipe and BBK shorty headers

So there is a shop out here in DFW that said they can put the Flowmaster 40 series on Installation tax and everything $325. From what I heard listening to YouTube clips the 40's sound pretty nice.

However, I can't find anyone that has a '14 or even a '10-'14 with them on.

Anyone seen these?

Dude, I am more confused now than I ever was lol

So I contacted a few shops in my area (Dallas-Fort Worth) this is what they suggested.

1. Rousch AB

2. FlowMaster 40 Series

3. Ford Racing Touring Muffler (he said it is a 10-12 Shelby GT500 Muffler for the v6 smaller intermediate pipes. (Can't find any audio of this muffler on a v6 though)

It was as someone said before, how loud do you want it? Your first 2 suggestions are both pretty loud while the second is pretty mellow.
I have BBK Short tube headers, FRPP Cut and clamp X-Pipe and Borla Touring on mine. To me it sounds awesome, to others it is still too mellow.
Also if you go with the Flowmaster, ask about the 50 series over the 40, the 50 has 3 chambers over the 40's 2, it helps with the drone. It is still aluminized steel over the FRPP, Borla and most of the others Stainless, and Borla really does have a million mile warranty on theirs.
