I'm new on the forums here, and thought I'd start a thread to show my progress on my 2012 V6 Premium. I created a thread on the GB section but thought I'd start a more in depth thread in the V6 section. Any questions feel free to ask. Enjoy!

- Matte Black Saleen Style Wheels: 18x9/255F - 18x10/275R
- Magnaflow Competition Axle-Backs w/ Quad Tips
- Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs
- JLT Cold Air Intake
- 3D Carbon GT500 Wing
- MMD Rear Decklid

 

Very nice! Love grabber blue and black. I like that body style more and more and am so torn.

Very nice, how does the quad tip fit and sound? Seems pretty interesting

 

looks great! The quad tips look like the 2013 GT500! Did you start that trend and Ford copied it for the GT500??? Haha, looks good, what plans do you have for it next?

 

Fit is perfect. It comes w/ a template on where exactly to cut but I let a body shop take car of it. I love the sound. It's nice and deep down low, but has a very exotic sound up high. It's pretty loud but I've never heard any other exhaust on a 11+ V6 to compare. Much louder then my old 04 V6 w/ dual flowmaster 40's.. It does have a bit of drone which personally I like. Needles to say, it gives my GF headaches so she's not crazy about it lol.

 

TBH I've always been a fan of the quad tips and I've had the idea since the 2010's first came out. Then Magnaflow made some quad tip axle-backs so I just had to have! Magnaflow had the quad tip axle-backs come out quite some time before the 2013's were released. So Ford stole it!!!

 

..and as far as future plans.. Short term I'd like to get some black projector headlights and would like to get my tailights painted black as well. I may even lower the car more. The pro-kit is nice but I think I want an even lower stance. Long term.. Maybe a supercharger but by the time I have enough $$ for that, I may just want to trade up for a newer model. We'll see...

And if anyone has any other ideas, I'm all ears!

 

you got any videos? That look is just so sick! I usually dont like magnaflows, prefer Borla, MRT, or even Roush's for our sixxer engine.

 

No videos, but I'll work on making one when I get some time on a nice day. I'll be sure to let you know. And I really wanted the quad tips which is why I went with the magnaflows. I've never heard any exhaust on an 11+ V6 in person so it was a shot in the dark. And I am definitely satisfied! I may experiment in the future with different mufflers but it's all good for now.

Just checked out a few vids on youtube, thats one sick sounding set-up!

 

That would look nice! I've thought about doing a Saleen front or a GT/CS but I like the front on the V6's so probably won't change it. But good luck with it and keep us updated! What wheels you planning on going with?

anyone know if I have to drill any new holes to put the 3D Carbo GT500 wing in place of the stock lip spoiler from my 2013 MCA edition coupe..? Really want the wing...but dont want to have to drill the trunk

 

I believe it is suppose to reuse the oem holes.

 

^ correct, the v6 trunks for some reason match perfectly with the 3DCarbon wing. The gt trunk however is a little off

 

Really like what you've done with it so far.
Ive got a '12 base v6 performance package in grabber blue. I did a borla catback last fall, and now that it's starting to warm up I'm looking to get a set of steeda coilovers in the next couple weeks. Keep me posted on any more mods you do. Also you should consider painting the chrome horse black I did it to mine and it just helps.

 

Lol we didn't steel it. That car was done and on it's way well before the magnaflows hit the market

 

Thanks, and I plan on updating this thread whenever I get any mods so just keep an eye on it. I've thought about painting the horse but I'm undecided.. Kinda like it. How you like your borla? Which system is it? And keep me updated on yours too.
