Youtube-Flowmaster Hushpower + Magnaflow x-pipe
vid1
vid2
this is stock headers, cats, magnaflow x-pipe, stock over-the-axle pipes with resonators and flowmaster hushpower axle-backs
i put on the x-pipe to try and get rid of the hammer, hammer sound these cars make, not quite but the sound is smoother and more blended with the x-pipe in place
in the 2nd vid the sustained rpm was ~5500 and the incremental steady throttle went 2.5k, 3.5k and 4.5k rpms
there is no rasp and no noticeable drone
the canon A590 camera i used could not record the lows that this combo produces. when it sounds like it's going to stall, the low frequency sound (pulse) is concussive. when it idles down to around 900 rpm the sound reverberates my aluminum garage door in it's tracks
if you go with an aftermarket catback thus removing the resonators or cut them out and replace them with straight pipes it will be raspy
check this out
raspy exhaust

m4reapr, have you seen that heartthrob exhaust h-pipe? If not check it out, the h-pipe has an aftermarket muffler in place of the resonators.
its in this modification section.
When I decide to buy exhaust, I'm thinking of getting an h-pipe with aftermarket resonators. Your right the resonators keep down the rasp and make a nice tone.

Hard to tell from a You-Tube video thru my laptop's speakers, but that sounds almost exactly like my car with the GT500/SVT axle-back (only) installed. Just sayin.
