X-pipe question....

So I heard that removing the cats and adding an offroad xpipe is not worth it on an automatic. Lots of people have been telling me that the automatics need back pressure for low end tourque. So they say if I add the off road x pipe I will lose alot of low end tourque and some power. Anyone know if this is true? Any opinions on what to do? Thanks.

I believe AM put an off-road Magnaflow X-Pipe in their automatic project car, so I'm going with no. If anything, it probably adds a few HP and torque especially if calibrated with a tune.
