Tune with CAI and without/ differences? Plus a few other??

I am getting a Steeda 93 tune between 1,000 and 2,000 miles. I'm waitiing to make sure my engine and A6 is ok and that nothing happens that Ford can blame any damge that may occur on a tune or mods. Was was initially going with a Steeda CAI withtheir tune but after looking at the setup from the factory, I wonder how muuch a tune alone without the CAI is worth. How much does the Steeda CAI actually make with the tune? Also , I have noticed the smashed resonator. What if you simply cut that out and replace it with 3 1/2 inch tubing. My 2001 SS had the same thing at the y pipe for clearance. I cut it out at a local muffler shop and replaced it with straight tubing. That $50 mod alone was worth 5 rwhp on that car. I'm thinking that with a dyno tune dialing that in on the 93 tune will be worth atleast that much....? Thoughts..?

I would get the steeda cai with the tune. U will be amazed at the increase. Plus cutting out the reonator wont net u 5 hp since most catbacks aren't giving that up. But u won't be disappointed with the steeda cai and tune.

I did research this pretty well and the CAI does add around 10hp. Not sure your gonna feel that amount of HP but the tune seems to be what wakes up the car the most. Better shifting and more HP, increased red line.

I just had the 91 Steeda tune put on my car over the weekend and it netted me 25rwhp over stock. I have also heard that the CAI will add another 11 or so hp.

Going from 93 to 93 octane you will gain around 6-8 rwhp with a CAI. Most of your power and performance comes from the tune. Then add a X pipe to relive some back pressure. So a CAI with X pipe will give you 10-13 rwhp. With all 3 you are looking at 30-35rwhp gain. You want the biggest gain get NOS.
