What do you want out of the gear change?

My car came with 3.73's and I think 3.55 would have been good enough.

3.31's ,,gas saver / highway gears
3.55's ,,quick
3.73's ,,alittle quicker
4.11's ,,OMG fast ,,but bad on gas for daily driving .
I still have the 3.31's in my 2007 ,but I like them for the top end speed and
good gas mileage ,nice highway trip driving .

I want to pull off the line a little quicker. Mine seems a tad bit sluggish on low rpms. How do you like them, how's your gas mileage and top end? I'm currently getting 20 mpg as a daily driver with a heavy foot here and there.

18.5 mpg usually around town, that includes quite the heavy foot. However I feel like the car has more then enough power and could maybe use 3.31's.

I love 3.73s, they are a perfect all-round gear for this engine and trans combo. With only the mildest adaptation you can start in whatever of the first 3 gears you feel like. Not that I do that much but, I can, any time.

Car rips at the track too but, 3.73s forced a shift to 5th before the stripe so, I upped the diameter on my slicks to 28 and 4th it is, right below the redline, perfect.

3.31's are great on a 5.0.. I don't see the need for 3.73's though.

4.10 all day..If your not doing FI

I love them. BEST upgrade I have done to my car better than a tune..

Gas MPG went from 19.6 to 19.2 with a more aggressive tune

I have an auto. depends on how you drive.

3500- 4000 all depends on how much you get on the gas, The car is fast with the gears, FING fun to drive LOL

80 mph = 2600-2700 rpm 60 mph =2000 rpm

You won't until you've had them on your 5.0.

Don't fear the gear. Gears are, by definition, a torque multiplier and who doesn't love more torque?!?! I went with 4.56's and a 28" tall drag radial so that I can use most of 5th gear in the 1/4 mile before hitting the traps and the car launches so much harder than with the 3.73's. Also, much more entertaining to drive every day!
