You won't get 20mpg after 3.73s. They're not great for a DD, but they do pull harder than 3.31s. Would likely be a good compliment to your Boss manifold.

If you can live with losing 2-3mpg I'd say go for it. If you want to keep getting decent mileage, stick with 3.31s.

I 3:73 In my 2012 GT AND I GET ON IT ALOT BUT DO ALOT OF HIWAY DRIVING AT 80 mph and I'm averaging 19.6 mpg with a 93 octane race tune!!!

I've got 3.31s in mine and I can roast the tires just fine ! Plenty of get up & go , I'm sure that 3.73s would be faster from a standing stop but I don't think I'm giving up much performance wise !

I need to get my car on a dyno then!!!

About 60 miles of country roads, few stop signs, cruise set at 60, and not short shifting by any means. 3.73's.

Don't fear the gear ;)

Exactly how do you think they got rated at 25/26 mpg, driving an avg 55/60 mph. These cars seem to get similar mileage with any gear from 3.08 to 4.10, the only reason to change gears it to suit your driving style, use, and tolerance. If you don't want to hear engine roaring unless your getting on it, stay with the lower (numerically) ratio's. if you want to drag race, pick a gear to match your trap mph. If you want to track your car, choose the ratio that suits the track best, one gear does not fit all.

3.73's are the perfect all around gear for these cars IMO. I started with 3.31 and would never go back.

I've put on a couple hundred miles with my 3.73's and I think they are great. I wouldn't want anything taller I don't think. Love having great pickup in 5th and then 6th is good above about 45-50 for cruising along.

2nd gear (now that the car is getting a few miles on it and I just filled up with 93 octane) pulls like a train :)

I want to get 3.73's I'm hoping the dealer can install them for me

373s were great in my boss seemed like it was always in the power band. In normal driving/ traffic I'd start out in 2nd gear since 1st is so aggressive.

Is there much difference between 3.73 and. 3.55? Heck even down to 3.31? Cuz im lookin for a new gear set to put in the sixxer along with an intake and tune

I went from 3.55 to 3.73 and could feel a big difference

There is a good chart out there comparing speed in gears for 3.73 vs 3.55 vs 3.31's. there is a significant difference

I lost .4 MPG going from 3.15 to 4.10. That's not much lost at all.

SOOOO much more fun to drive...
