Swan song for the Roush...my last two videos

I pulled my cats on Friday. With no cats, a 3 inch X-pipe, no resonators and the Roush, the car was insanely loud. So, my favorite mufflers were removed and a borrowed set of stockers installed. I am on the muffler hunt again.

However, I thought you guys would like to see the last videos I shot with the Roush, since we have discussed these mufflers so much here.

With idle lope tune:

Rev up:

It was INSANE.

That idle lope sounds like pure racecar!

I was hesitant to put my after cat xpipe on with mine, but it actually helped them. It looks like once the cats are gone the Roush's get possessed. What's your plans? Just leave the stockers on? I bet the gt500 mufflers would probably sound pretty darn good with your setup.

Yes, once the cats are gone the car is possessed with Roush. I am going to get a set of quiet mufflers, because they will be loud anyway. I am trying to decide between the Dynomax Ultra-Flows, Flowmaster Force II, Magnaflow Streets, Borla Touring and the good 'Ole GT500s. I have had the GT500s so I know they sound great. However, I want something different. I am really leaning toward the Ultra-Flows. They are quiet and they are deep, so they should be perfect with this setup.

Dude, you don't understand the sheer volume of this beast. It was insane. Also, it was so loud and violent that it caused the entire back end of the car to vibrate sympathetically with the exhaust. It was a nightmare. If I was a 20 year old kid, I may have been able to live with it...for a week. I am 42 and I have two kids. This is my daily driver.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm in the same situation. It did sound awesome though! That's definitely how you want it to sound on the racetrack but not just driving to the store or to work! Unless you work at the Racetrack!

I understand full well.

I daily drove my old fox body Zephyr with long tubes, catless x-pipe and dynomax race bullets, would make the kiddies run away screaming when I drove by.

And I'm older than you are...

It was louder than my completely gutted '81 Fairmont Wagon which has a B-Cammed 302 with GT40s, long tubes, offroad X and MAC Pro-Dumps. That is saying something!

The neighbors all loved me when I had to go to work early, they didn't need an alarm clock to wake up!
