Which supercharger?

Which supercharger?
Exterior mods complete, time to force feed! I have an 04 with a procharger and had an 05 with a procharger so that's what I'm familiar with. I want to know if anyone else has a current set up and what their thoughts are. Also is the Ford racing kit really worth the warranty?

Procharger= $4500-$5000..And Most folks can Install themselves in a Day...
Does That help :-)

Yeah that helps, I spoke with the guys at the dealership and according to them the warranty only is for the supercharger itself and the rest of the powertrain is voided. I thought different from everything I read but who knows everyone has a different interpretation I guess.
Sooooo for the money and the power I have started to fall in love with the Hellion kit with the upgrade to a 67mm turbo.
Thoughts?

I would opt for the 525hp version which is $1k cheaper, and you get the peace of mind which is priceless IMO.

regardless, the FRPP whipple has gone through the exact same torture tests as a stock 5.0. That's one reason why its more expensive than other options.
Like I said the peace of mind is priceless IMO

For a few extra $$ Edelbrock offer a POWERTRAIN warrenty. Personally looking at this one as it is a low psi charger but still gives loads of power and torque and is pretty quiet during operation also.

The Edelbrock s/c kit is also CARB certified so if you live in CA, that's one less thing to worry about.

how much horsepower are you looking for? while the ford/whipple superchargers are decent, if you really want power, strength and reliability then id go with a Kenne Bell. they have multiple sizes to fit your horsepower needs and also have liquid cooling which evens out cooling on the front and back side of the supercharger. and if keeping your horsepower level somewhat modist, id get their boost-a-pump to boost your stock fuel pump instead of spending thousands upgrading your entire fuel system. obviously make sure to have a tune done after installing and only run on premium fuel. another simple mod you should look into is an oil seperator. JLT just released their new kits. hope this helps!

What do you consider SERIOUS about the Whipple install? Have you read the instruction manual?
The Whipple is not $8k. I just bought a 2.9L Whipple (upgrade), 2 Pullies ($140/ea), a Ford Racing 65mm throttle body, JLT carbon fiber intake, injectors, and plugs for less than $8k.
If you are going to go as far as recommending a Procharger, at least be sure to recommend the Stage 2 for the much better intercooler.

I called two dealers here in az and was assured that after the sc warranty expires and I have my tranny screw up or an engine part malfunction it's ok cuz I'll still be under warranty. But I'll bet they'll say otherwise if I bring it in with issues.

whipple!! The dealer is wrong about the warranty. It depends on the kit and hp level. The highest kit voids the warranty but the mid and lower kit doesnt harm it. I owned one in my 07 so I know.
