Sct neutral rev

Ok I have a 2011 mustang gt with a vortech supercharger and I just started debating a 2 step. I know the sct has one but I read it's safe and unsafe and have no clue to the truth. Can anyone shed light in the situation? Also anyone have any experience with the n2mb wot box?

Any advice and experience would help.

I've been running the wotbox for over 2 years and I love it!
It's a spark cut rev limiter so it's better for FI than fuel cut.

The last thing you want in and FI engine is fuel to be cut instead of spark.
The SCT limiter thing works horribly, when it cuts it feels like somebody shut your engine off.
When the wotbox cuts it's a non event, I use the no lift shift and love it.

For what the wotbox is it's a steal at $200, spark cut rev limiter, no lift shift, 2-step, nitrous window switch, and shift light all in one little box.

Thank you for the advice. That's exactly my thoughts just wanted someone with experience to tell me for sure.

How hard is the install and set up for the wot box?

It's 5 wires, do you know how to solder?
Check out the instructions see how you feel about them.
Took me about an hour and a half being neat and hiding wires and taping etc...

And to program it's just point and click if you have a laptop.

This is all you see on my car, so I took my time. lol

...
Doesn't it just throttle-back to hold the RPM?
I don't imagine it's leaving the throtlebody open and just cutting fuel...or is it???? That clearly would wreck your engine in short order.

So is the problem that the SCT tune based limiter just isn't fast enough? The videos show what looks like an RPM fluctuation...it hits the limit, backs off, hits the limit, backs off...if the light tuns green at the wong part of the wave, you'll bog.

Is that right?

No the SCT limiter thing works just fine as a limiter, but yea it seems like it kills the car and for a much longer time than a spark cut, it's a weird feeling you will have to try and see. And the SCT limiter is active during a shift with your foot to the floor so it kills the engine so violently it just feels so wrong.

Also every time you want to change the launch RPM you have to reload the tune lol.

I had a wotbox on my previous car, and loved it. The rev limiter for launches was good, and the no lift shifting was amazing. The shift light add on was cool as well.

Even better is its an anti theft device too. If you unplug the box and take it with you, the car will have no spark and cannot be started.

You must get rid of your cats though, it will blow them out pretty quickly due to the unburnt fuel going through your cats.

There's several write ups on how to install the WOT boxes. It's definitely a good thing to add if you go FI

Plenty of youtube vids of people shooting flames with the no-lift shift feature too lol

It's not technically a "backfire"... the engine is running fine.
More like a muffler explosion.

Right...and that wasn't a fart, it was the forceful, audible, aromatic expulsion of methane from the colon.
