What's up with the air box being cut flush where the air inlet tube coming from the front of the car goes? The stock airbox had a sleeve coming off of it so the tube could slide over it.

Agree, the rubber sleeve would have been better but I guess they figured that it was not as important since the main air flow will come from front under hood area. I purchased some all climate weatherseal 5/16 x 19/32 x 10 ft from home depot and placed a small strip along the air box left side (lookin down facing front of car) just to get the most of bottom cold air. By the way this CAI rocks since it can take any tune and even though it may sacrifice a tiny bit of hp it does not sound too loud as the factory tube resonators are still in place. A perfect sound balance with GT500 muffs. Sound tube deleted.

I have the Roush CAI, you just stick the rubber sleeve from the front of the car into the hole. It's not a perfect fit, but it's close enough to seal and work fine.

I ended up calling the roush service number and they said that it was designed to sit flush. I've had it for a few weeks now and nothing has gone wrong so I'm assuming it's fine

Yes, flush fit and it rocks - 12.5 at 2700 D.A. with SCT 91 octane strategy tune ! About to find out how things work out with a Ford ProCal 91 tune - currently have SCT/Bama tunes which have nice benifits but something lacking in the trans/drive by wire cal for my personal taste.
