Okay this really does have some serious weight to it...

Going back to last summer... I had a BamaCam tune w/ stock intake, then switched to JLT intake and had all sorts of issues with stalling and surging and feeling like it wasn't gaining any power at all from a tune. Had enough stalling, and went back to the stock intake. Had zero issues. Fiancee still managed to stall it from time to time.

Read this thread. went back to 100% stock tune, and then loaded up the cam tune w/ stock intake. no stalling, perfection, and a noticeable power bump.

Thought about it today, and thought I'd try the JLT one more time.. Went back to stock, then loaded up the bamacam tune w/ JLT. Guess what? Huge power gain. (Obviously a combination of both) Car feels awesome, and no stalling, and the cam idle is perfect.

Only prior issues I need to check out are how it is on a dead cold start. (if there is any bucking) and if there is any 65mph + surging in 6th.

But all the other stuff is telling me that this tune is working perfectly.

I had the complete different experience. Car ran stronger with the overlapped tune. 12.54 @113 with tune one, 12.52 with tune two and 12.45 @ 114 with overlap. all were a 1.95 60'

Makes me wonder how safe it was timing wise? I don't know if those tables stack or not?

Overlapped tune, meaning cammed tune?I didnt think the cammed tune offered any power increase, just the hot cam sound.

a tune is a tune.

I simply meant the difference between the stock intake tune to the JLT intake tune is quite noticeable.

The "cam" tune isn't just stock tune + cam sound.

It's modified tune + cam sound

It'd be nice if some of the tuners on here could add their thoughts about the "tune stacking".
Im not sure what to believe, I've never had any issues switching between tunes without going stock

I always go back to stock just for added safety. I was running a steeda tune, had matt send me an update, I just changed tunes without going back to stock and it surged like a ****. If I go to stock then upload it, its fine...... Weird

I didn't. I just loaded the stock tune. Once it was done. Loaded the new one. Didn't have any issues. But only changed tunes that once.
