Seems gimicky to me. It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. How many people look at the shift **** on their manual to see what gear they're in? And is yet another distraction necessary or even safe?

Besides, if can't tell where your shifter is just by feel, maybe you shouldn't be driving a manual.

But how do you add the display to the autoshifter without it looking like a hack?

That part would be the challenge. If someone can fit a display on it, I can get it to show the gear.
