question to those that have gone to the other side
My last Mustang was a 97 Cobra with a Vortech in it. I was not very pleased with the end result, that I eventually had to sell the car.
My question is, what is your experienced with your blown 5.0s:
how many miles do you have in the car when you had it blown?
how many miles do you in the car now?
any issues related to the blower?
what kind of blower do you have?

Installed my vmp stage 2 kit with 82 mm pulley at 13k and I now have 20k with no issues. Only problem I have had is that the rear tires seem wear pretty darn fast.

Superchargers aren't what ruin engines. What hurts engines is either a bad tune, or insufficient fuel delivery.
If the fuel delivery is good, and the engine does not lean out then the only thing to worry about is a poor tune. A tune that would have too much advance, poor knock sensor settings, poorly set up air fuel table, etc.
So if you have a reputable tuner, and a fuel system capable of keeping up with demand then there is no need to be concerned with forced induction.

I got mine at about 10K and I have about 12K now. It's an Edelbrock E-Force with a street legal Brenspeed tune and about 6 PSI. I haven't dynoed it yet, but from the tune I have, it should be around 530 RWHP.(around 600 flywheel) With a smaller pulley, an open air filter, and a new tune, I can get around 600, which I may do in the future.
I love mine, everyone that has the means should have one. On the freeway, it's like a rocket ship. Push the go pedal and whoosh. On the street, traction is a problem. My next set will be drag radials.
No problems, and it will put many smiles on your face.

To the OP, if you have the means to go to the "dark side" (not the "other" side"), it will reward you with the most smiles per gallon you can dream of.
That being said, for my set up:
Blower went on around 6000 miles (I think, I might have to double check my records)
Car currently has 12k (I think, I haven't used her since October)
No issues whatsoever. (Ran Magnuson tune for a year, then switched to JDM Engineering)
Blower is Magnuson's 2.3 TVS. Safe, albeit restrictive inlet size, so she can't make "big" power like the Roush's etc... but they designed it that way to make it streetable and safe, etc. Perfect for me. 520whp is wayyyyy more than enough.
