Question for ProCal owners

I might be interested on a ProCal Tune for my stock '11 5.0 GT. Please share me your experience.

It is a great feeling Daily Driver tune, you will encounter some traction issues in 1st & 2nd. If your extent of power mods is an Axle Back, after Cat mid pipe and gears then this tuner is great!

If your not planning on deleting the cats or doing an aftermarket CAI, then the Pro-cal is great. (ROUSH, AIRaid w/MIT are some intakes that you CAN use with the pro-cal.....JLT, AIRaid w/ removed MIT and steeda go with SCT)

Hi Stanglife, Could you please explain more about the issue that you have in 1st and 2nd with the ProCal?. That issue happens as stock or with other mods?. I noticed that you have a 3.73. What size of tires you have in the back?

you must feather the clutch to launch with the tuner....Im running the GY supercar F1s in a 285 width and still spin the tires!

btw, id like to see who it was that voted NO on the poll.....my guess is that it was prob someone who doesn't even have the pro-cal. everyone I talk to with it loves it, or bought it for the wrong reason to begin with!

I have the pro cal tuner kit and agree it is a great choice if you're not doing a bunch of big mods. As I've heard it said before, it really makes the stang behave like it should have from the factory.
I, however, will be getting the Boss intake for Christmas so I will now be getting a steeda tune to deal with it.
My question is, can someone else with manual 5.0 use my tuner. I hate to waste it and would love to find it a happy home.

I picked up the Pro-cal to retain some semblance of my 5/60 Warranty... If you are not concerned with warranty, then I would recommend a custom tune by Lund, Aed, ect... For the money, I love what the tune did for low end, and throttle response!

So do you keep the warranty in full? I have an extended too but heard the warranty drops to 3/30 w/ a Procal tune. True?

I believe this is a grey area as a dealer/Ford may still honor a drive train issue even after 36K miles.

Not sure anyone has had it happen to know yet though.
