question about adding lethal performance over axle pipes
Hi guys,
So I have Roush axle back mufflers on my 2014 gt and I was looking into getting a little more sound but don't want to mess with removing the cats. I saw these over axle pipes that take some kinks out and remove the resonators.

I'm trying to see if my Roush axle backs would sound good with these pipes. If anyone has them on there car I would love to get some feedback.
Thanks!

You could try searching youtube for anyone that has the Roush exhaust with the resonators deleted. It will would most likely sound about the same as long the car has the stock h-pipe, cats, and headers.
My only guess is that the lethal pipes might be a tad louder than someone who just had their resonators cut out since it's supposedly more free flowing, but like I said that's just a guess.
I'm looking into doing this as well since I want the Roush to be a little louder but I don't want to remove my cats either.
If you end up going with this, post a video so I can hear what it sounds like before I decide to go with it

I was originally thinking about this however I would rather keep everything intact and not cut up my stock pipes just in case I change my mind down the road. This is the main reason I was looking at these pipes along with them being an even 2.75 in diameter all the way.

Something I've learned in 30+ years of doing this: DON'T cut up stock stuff. Keep it, it aids resale and you can recover some of your costs by selling on some of your aftermarket parts when you're done with the car.
If you just want a bit more sound, this a bolt-in solution to get that, as would be an off-road H or X; that'd give you a lot more sound, maybe more than you want with Roush mufflers.

Not sure if you pulled the trigger on lethal's O/A pipes but I just installed mine a few days ago. I've got the shelby quad-tipped A/Bs and I'd say the O/A pipes added a nice cackle and slightly increased total volume. I was worried they'd cause excessive pop to be heard but that wasn't the case. Sure a muffler shop can cut them out for $100 or less but having hacked up stock parts hanging on my car wouldn't sit well with me, the updated v2 of their pipes for lowered vehicles (which mine is) fit perfectly. I did have to raise my car up as far as my stands would allow in order to work the stock pipes out.
Lethal's O/A pipes have a lot less bends than the stock pipes, they claim it's worth 7hp but who knows. I went this route because I wanted the smushed resonators gone without having the stock pipes hacked up & welded. It's gravy if there is a bump in HP IMO.
