So how do you like the new shifter?
Is it that much better than the stock shifter?

Wayyyyy better than the stock set up. The car feels like another animal, great shifts, super responsive, accurate, fast & short shift. I don't understand why our mustangs don't come with this shifther already installed . I enjoying shifthing through gears with this new set up. Trust me you are going luv your car more with this new set up.

I'm going make a small review with pic and videos of this ford racing shifther, posting on my car build journal. Stay tune =)

Not sure if you mentioned it before or not but what did you upgrade to? I mean is it called Ford racing shifter?

Here is a link to it. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FM...TB?seid=srese2
I think it's essentially just like a Barton shifter and 2 post bracket with a white Ford Racing shift ball. I almost went that route but I just couldn't pass up the MGW for the price.

Yep, the FRPP piece is made by Barton...

I got the automatic instead of the manual mainly because I didn't like the clutch. The clutch just didn't feel like any clutch I had ever driven before, which is a shame because I really wanted a manual for the twisty turny roads. I can see where an upgrade in shifters would be well worth the money though.

Interesting observation. The first clutch vehicle I ever operated was a Ford 8N tractor in 1963 (I was 10). Every daily driver I've ever owned has been a stick. The two worst clutches, as far as driveability, were an OS Giken twin disk in a 94 Supra single turbo conversion and my '09 GT 500. The clutch in my Boss is undoubtedly the smoothest one I've ever driven, helped in part by the 3.73 gears.
