Is it possable to do a RACE key and a NORMAL key after market tune.??
With the already built in pariental functions with our 5.0 keys. would it be possable to have one of the big name TRUSTED companys write a race type tune that the computer could use only with one key and the normal tune accsesed by the 2nd key. seems to me it could be done .The boss 302 is really somthing to that effect already. OR have i asked a question that has been hashed out to the bone already . This would just be to easy if this can or is being done. Sorry in advance if this is a jack @$$ question. If wishes were horses

It obviously can be done as Ford has on the Boss. Whether or not aftermarket tuners will crack this is up in the air. Wouldn't surprise me if they weren't working on it though..

Maybe possible to use Ford's MyKey Tech...but backwords.
Like this: Mod your car till your hearts desire... Then your "normal" key" could be your "RACE KEY". Then using MyKey, Choose limitations for another key... That other key could then be your new "Street" key.

I was told by one of the guys that actually developed the Track Key on the Boss developement team, that Ford has a patent on this technology. Also, the idea did come directly from the MyKey. If you could down tune a car with a key, why not up tune it with a key?

Why a key?....... APR (VW and Audi Chip tuning company) has a slick application for those cars. Up to 3 different programs can be stored and they can be switched with a press of the cruise control button..Very slick.

I would guess because you want to load the appropriate program when starting the car up, not switch while the engine is running?
