The "Outlaws" showed up today...

The axle-back showed up!

And as expected so did the rain, ups driver barely set them on my porch when the rain started.

Did get some pics of the freshly opened box...

And the reason why these sound as loud as they do, looking down the center from the tip end...

Supposed to rain through Saturday so maybe Sunday I can get them put on and the video finished.

Who in the world did you get those from? they did a horrible job of packaging them.

The packing foam was removed before the pics.

And they were drop-shipped directly from Flowmaster, sold to me by autoplicity.com.

They're a muffler delete with a resonator on it. I used to have these on mine. They sound really good.

I have the full cat back on my Boss, I wouldn't say it sounds similar to the Flowmaster American Thunder old school Mustang sound, but they are definitely different and a little less common then the Roush's and GT500's.

I like it real well, of course so far I've just been holding the pipe up to my face and making engine sounds into the end...

Probably won't get them on the car until Sunday, weather is crappy here today and forecast the same tomorrow.

Well, the rain has gone away earlier than predicted so the exhaust install is under way. The car is up on the ramps and I'm just sitting here eating a biscuit waiting for the exhaust to cool off some.

Looks like a really simple job, going to do a install article for another website complete with pics and of course the before and after video.

STAY TUNED!!!

Sounds good, they sound even better once seasoned IMO.

Yeah, most mufflers do sound better with a little carbon buildup.

Install article is finished, working on getting it published online, will get a link posted as soon as it is.

Boy, I'm just having too much fun with these new mufflers, gonna screw my fuel economy all up!

Hope that's all, hope the gendarmes don't take undue notice of my fun!

The sweet spot sound-wise is between about 3K and 4.5K, really sound good and mean through there!

Buy a prius if you are worried about fuel economy not a V8 JK lol

Well, I'm not independently wealthy, don't own an oil company, so I do have to place some importance on the amount of fuel my vehicles use.

Finished my video and the article for the install of the Outlaws on my car.

The article is posted here: Mustang Flowmaster

Video:

2014 Mustang GT Stock Exhaust to Flowmaster Outlaw Axle Back - YouTube

Yeah, I know the article is published on a V6 site but I'm a moderator there and the site owner is a friend and I think the V8 restrictions are going to be lifted there soon.

And about the video, my camcorder is a few years old and not HD so video quality is what it is as well as the sound.

I have these on my 2013, the first mod i did. They have been on about 4 months now, they sound great. The ONLY bad part is the drone at 2000 RPM. Its pretty annoying, but who drives at 2000 RPM??!! lol
