Gabe let me know when you get yours. I have emailed them and they still have not gotten back with me.

Looks like we will just need to make sure the mount will work.

The inside looks allot like the UPS and Steeda cans.

I know when I ran a UPR can, it caught a lot of oil but I was still getting oil over to the intake.

Where was it leaking? Also what can are you using now?

I'll definitely have a thread up on it as soon as I have it installed

Then you have no PCV 'valve' to leave in.

Passenger side blue insert IS a pollution control valve.

One way valve that rattles when you shake it?
All the other posts (numerous threads) say its an open breather tube like the 4.6 (except on pass side instead of drivers side like 4.6).

LOL , the one that rattles IS officially known as a PCV or pollution control valve. Not only a one way valve, but a pressure relief valve too. Any PCV is a valve that controls the escape of engine gasses

Right. I still have older cars and other brands besides Mustang's open breather tube. I know how they work.
But you are the first person out of endless posts that has stated the 5.0 has any type of valve in the larger breather tube. And I know the 4.6 larger breather tube (the 'exhaust' side of the circuit if you will) is open all the way.

However, the service manual states the V6 (4.0) utilizes a valve which is why I made the comment.

He is correct, that is the pcv valve. Although I thought is stood for positive crankcase ventilation valve.

I would think there would be a better way other than a Catch can to do this. Like a Real PCV valve!!! Or something to put in the top of the valve cover that would let the air flow but not the oil escape?? But I guess if there was it would be out..

My UPR can was not leaking, it just wasn't catching all of the oil and some was making it past the filtering media in the can and coming out the output hose to the intake.

UPR has come up with some improvements to their cans that can be installed on some of their older cans. One is a different design diffuser which UPR sent me to try out on my UPR can. They claim it cuts down or eliminates oil from making it to the intake. The also have come up with an extension that screws on to the existing can to make it larger to also help prevent oil from making it's way to the intake.

I'm currently running a Bob's Auto Sports can. I think I posted a picture of my setup on the other catch can thread in this section.

Here are a couple of links to some interesting reading about catch cans and the 5.0 coyote engine.

Where is this located again?

I finally installed my Catch Can......

I went with the Steeda model. I like the way it was designed and out of most of the cans out there it looks the best.

I did not like the way it came to mount so I fabricated some line to perfectly fit were I wanted it. I drove about 25 miles and already have caught some oil.

My hose did not even have any oil residue.

Now when Steeda has another sale I am going to get the drivers side.

Installed a Moroso. Ihad to move to the drivers side due to the E-Force coolant tank. It's big and well built. (yes, I know this is an old thread)

Thanks, I just ordered some Pro-Lite 350 hose, and some EZ-Clamps to replace the rubber hose. I have a show coming up up next month.
