OK all I have a question about oil separators? I have read for days on this and now that my car is here I am stumped.
My car has the track pack. I have around 200 miles on her and I pulled the pcv pipe off last night. I was amazed at what I saw...
Nothing No oil in the pipe not even on the valve cover side.
So my question: Is there something different on the Track pack cars? Is there a difference because they use 5W50 oil instead of 5W20?

A lot depends on how much spirited driving you do. WOT and hard turns running the car hard will def produce some oil on the passenger side. We have run breathers which are good, but you need to occasionally clean the filter and COULD see some oil on the passenger coil cover if you havent cleaned it in a while. We now are FI so breathers would need to be cleaned more so in lieu of that, I mimicked what a lot of road race teams do. It is a modified breather system that ensures NO oil will enter your intake and it will keep the bay completely clean. You can build it yourself for a lot cheaper if you use regular hose and clamps. Here is our setup:

I do like to get on it quite a bit, especially after installing the Roush axle back. But I'm not redlining it or anything close to that. So I would say it's definitely worth getting one unless you baby the car.

Here is a link that I did on another site. This system originally was done on Bossmustangsonline. That is where I got the idea and saw how to do it. Like I stated above, you can save a TON of $ if you use regular clamps and hose to build this. The breather can's have gone up a ridicules amount lately for some reason. You can also find cheaper alternatives for the breather cans. This is a great system though. Most of the big road racing teams use this system.

You will already have part # 7 on your car. you just cut the line off of it and use the valve connector.

There is positive crankcase pressure. The key part to a good oil sep is the proper flow rate vs taking a wild guess. Which is why JLT catches so little (too restrictive) compared to others. Allegedly JLT is correcting this.

You would think some one would make a device to put on the PCV connector that would allow the system to breath but leave the oil in the valve area.
I have a suburban with 270.000 miles on it and the inside looks like day one so does the intake. But they use a PCV valve cover that wont let the oil out but will let it breath...

They say Billet Tech and UPR are almost identical in design and Billet Tech claims UPR copied their design. In fact, UPR makes their new design diffuser which fits the Billet Tech's can and the only difference is that on the Billet Tech can, the diffuser is held on with screws instead of a rubber O-ring like UPR uses. I know when I ran a UPR can, it caught a lot of oil but I was still getting oil over to the intake.

I've never understood why Ford doesn't use an actual 'Pollution Control Valve' vs a straight wide open breather tube.
That one way valve used in most cars is cheap and it works.
