Off road or Catted??

2011 Mustang Gt with Flowmaster Outlaw.

I know off road x/h pipe will be really loud with these axlebacks

but what about an x/h pipe with high flow cats??
would it be somewhat louder than what it is right now with those axlebacks.

Get the off road. If you don like it, have cats welded in. It would end up being close to the same price.

FIVE POINT OHH, the x pipe provides more power than the H. The x pipe balances out the torque curve while the H pipe is more for sound dynamics. When the exhaust gases pass the opening in the X this creates a low pressure area thus improving scavenging it does however have a lower tone than the h-pipe. The 90* turn the exhaust gases make for the cross over in the H pipe are more designed for sound vs performance. The H pipe has more of a muscle car sound to it vs the x. The x pipe has a lower tone at idle/lower rpms and gets louder at full throttle but its design like I stated is for power vs sound.

MAC Prochamber - basically a combination of an X and H. Sounds great and made a decent bump in power / trq.

I just looked and they don't seem to make one for the 11+.

That was a popular choice on the 87-93s. But haven't heard of any plans for one for 11+.

High flow cats will increase the sound a little bit over the factory cars since they are a less restrictive.

The MAC Pro-Chamber is out for pre-order from MAC. It is $339.

X-pipe is a higher pitched tone. It is also quieter, smoother and will introduce some rasp.

And H-pipe is louder all around, deeper and will have some "chop" under cruise.

Either of these in an offroad configuration will be loud...like fookin' LOUD with Outlaws. You will find yourself making a muffler change as well, unless you like driving a car that has the same level of noise as a Winston Cup car. Some do, most don't.
