No C.A.I. for 2013 Boss 302

Spent 2 full days in my garage, F******, with American Muscle Airaid CAI, and it DOES NOT fit or work, at all. As far as I can see, there is no, aftermarket CAI for 2013 Boss 302. Sent it back for refund, cost $72.00 to return it. Ford Racing has the correct CAI, next time I'll get it from them.

Is this the one you purchased?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/airaid-cai-2011gt.html

You will need a Boss specific intake as the tube goes up and not down like the 5.0

Yeah gotta make sure you get one that fits your car... I know the steeda works with the boss and so does the JLT.

Yep, we've got a Boss-specific CAI: http://www.steeda.com/store/boss-mus...ir-intake.html

Let me know if I can help you with anything.

Cranky Old Man,

I'm sorry to hear about the bad luck with the Airaid CAI. That kit should fit with the Boss manifold, we've test fit this set up a few times. However if you're interested in a different CAI I can definitely help you out with that. We would hate to loose you as a customer over a small Mistake. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to make things right!

As far as the shipping cost goes, shoot me an email and I'll reimburse you for that. You shouldn't have to pay for a Mistake that you didn't make.

I thought you were using the awesome Ford Racing-recommended K&N filter that gave you like another 80 horsepower or something like that ...

What made you look into a CAI?

I love American Muscle's customer service. I haven't dealt personally with any of the other companies yet, but so far haven't had a need to.

Yes, American Muscle is second to none with customer service. I have dealt a great deal with the other big vendors. While I have nothing bad to say about any of them, AM just blows me away with their overall service.

Personally, I tried it and put the paper one back in.

Well, AM did not refund my return shipping, they did issue a refund. I never claimed 40-80 hp gain, I quoted Ford Racing, 4-7 hp. After talking to Airaid and Hillbankmotorsports, I finally found the correct CAI for Boss 302. Airaid Part# 451-174, $607.90. Hillbanks has tried several, BBK, Roush, and Airaid. Airaid works best.
12-17 H.P. You can start with factory tune, then change to Bama, and pick up 20-30 more H.P.

Why don't you buy a quality proven CAI from the get go? Steeda makes one for the Boss, and you can make the JLT unit work with the Boss and both will make more power than that Airaid unit.

One thing to know is there is no real difference in the Boss from 2011 as far as intakes go, but, Yes, JLT does have a kit that works and fits:

$600+ for a CAI?

No effin way would I ever spend that kinda money on a CAI ... I don't care if it is carbon fiber, it could be made out of gold, I'm not spending that kinda money on a CAI ...
