New to forum
Hey everyone. New to the forum. I am a proud owner of a 2013 GT with 3.73, track pack, and bembro brake package. **** I love this car. Owned a few early 90's GTs but never had te resources to do anything. Now that I'm 40 and have my you know what together. It's time to play.
So far I've only had her for 4 months and have added 285's on the back. It's just the beginning. Suspension, exhaust, and tune next. Next year I go FI.
I'm in the Houston area if anyone wants to get together. I travel a lot but I'll do my best.

Welcome aboard! I also have had a bunch of older ( and cheaper ) Mustangs over the years. 1988 GT hatch ( gray ), 1987 GT conv ( gray ), 1990 LX 5.0 hatch ( red ), and now that I'm into my 40's, I figured it was time for my first new car, so recently I sold our 1966 GT coupe ( Emberglo ) and my 1994 Cobra ( black ) to buy my 2014 SMG GT track pack. Wow have these cars come a LONG way since the Fox days! Anyway, gorgeous car you have there, and nice choice of options if I do say so myself!

Not yet, but I think it looks good. I'll see if my wife can take a couple pics. I am up in Canada on business for another month. The tires just barely stick out beyond the wheel well and from the rear she looks nice and wide.
I took of the 255 Pirelli'a and went with 285/35/19s. Now I have a set of 255s for the front and I will only have to purchase the rears. Granted they ain't cheap!!! 400+ for one tire.
I've been going back and forth on tires and rims. I think 19s are perfect for this car. But their isn't much selection. 285s are as big a you can go on an 8.5 inch rim. Once I wear all these down I may go with another rim/tire setup so I can go with 305s. I can use that 2k for my suspension work.

Thanks and nope. This was on the showroom floor. Funny story. I actually signed the papers on a sleeper that someone traded in. 2010 GT with a Roush 625 blower kit on it. The salesman said it would be under warranty and even sold me the extended warranty. Took her home and blew the motor. Took it back ticking like a clock and the service manager said it was internal and not covered. I argued of course and they were very apologetic about the whole mess. I walked away from the deal clean. The owner felt bad and asked if he could get me into the new one for the same price would I do a deal? I said there was no way they were coming down from 40k to 28.5k on a 2013. An hour later he called me and said to come sign papers.

I plan on getting a pair of 285/35/19 Continental DWS tires, they're only about $269 each shipped via Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct ... and I want to keep all-seasons on this car since it gets cold way before we get snow and I want to keep driving it even in single-digit weather if there's no snow on the ground, something I can't do with the factory summer Pirellis ...

Those "Brembo" rims are 9" wide not 8.5, but yeah, 285/35's are the widest you can safely fit on them.
