New to Ford racing catalog: Shaker Intake

Just saw this in whats new section of the ford 2011 racing catalog.

Mustang Shaker Hood System M-16612-shkb Fits 2011 Mustang GT

on first page of catalog.. ...

googling the pn though brings me to 2010 mustang.. but the Ford catalog clearly states 2011 Ford GT.

My only concern is does the new motor 'shake' that much? If I had it on my 95, you bet it would! Buddy has 1 on his 06. He says it moves, I just need to see for myself. Plus, I like how my stock hood looks.

I don't think it will. By the looks of it the lower airbox may be different to adopt the return side of the shaker, which would not work with the Steeda part.

It can be made to work with any CAI if your are willing to mess with it a little.

Something I didn't know ...

The shaker intake details mention cutting a hole in the aluminum hood. Ran out to th garage and applied a magnet to the hood, sure enough, it's not steel. Didn't know that, but that's a good place to reduce weight, over the front wheels.

Visual mod only... meh...

I'd just save up more and get the Saleen hood which improves looks ten fold.
