New exhaust set-up

So I've had these Steeda cat delete pipes sitting in my garage for several months and I still haven't had a change to install them (quite the busy schedule). I love how my Roush AB's sound with otherwise factory exhaust but I have a bad feeling the car will be obnoxiously loud with the cats deleted (i.e. "trumpeting").

I'd love to get some Borla S-type's or Corsa's but $700-$800 is a ton to spend on just an axle-back (got my Roush's on sale for $386 shipped when the car was new). GT500's will probably fit my needs but the single wall "factory" looking tips won't cut it for me (aesthetically) after having the Roush AB tips filling up those bumper cut outs for the last couple years. I need suggestions from you guys who have similar set-ups or maybe some of you who have switched up your exhaust set-ups also (some of you likely a few times). I DO want the car to be loud since its a fair weather weekend car only, ('03 Crown Vic DD/beater) I just don't want it to be OBNOXIOUSLY loud to the point where it sounds harsh at WOT.

I'll probably install the delete pipes with the Roush's on there and see how I like the sound before I make a move on a new pair of AB's but I'm trying to get some suggestions from those of you who may have experience with catless set-ups. Thanks in advance.

When you install the cat deletes don't forget the tune adjustment that is needed for them or it will trip the CEL.

Correct, another reason why I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a new axle back. I still need to retune after the install and I'm thinking of going the AED route. That or a local shop with a dynojet that does custom tunes and has a pretty good reputation. Either way I gotta plan on spending another $150-250 on the retune. Gotta pay to play I guess!

If you're running a Lund tune through Evolution Performance like your signature says you won't need a retune as he has everything turned off already.

Really, I wasn't aware of that? Has Lund always been tuning for Evolution Perf? I got my Evo tune when the car had about 600 miles on it, (it has 4800 now) and that was way back in about June/July 2011. Don't know if that makes any difference. Anyone with a contact through Evo please enlighten me, if not I'll just need to call them up and have someone educate me on my particular tuner.

Yes I'm pretty sure. Regardless if you need a new tune to shut off the rear o2's and COT it shouldn't cost you anything. It should be for free.
