New Cai with revised tune worth it?

I Currently have a Roush CAI and v2 tune and was wondering if switching to an air raid or jlt and getting a revised tune worth it hp wise. My roush is a non tune CAI that was a gift.

A CAI on a stock 5.0 adds no HP. They do add quite a bit of sound. Anyway.

you may benefit from a tune. Touch to say. Hard to say how aggressive the Roush tune is. If the car runs good, I would say leave it alone.

Thats not true, with a tune the 5.0 makes some power. Just for the looks and amazing sound I say this well worth it.

I said. You don't get any benefit from a CAI. I did not say there would be no benefit from a tune. The OP indicated he already had a tune. My comment about it being uncertain if there would be additional power was based upon not knowing how aggressive the current tune is today.

Make sense???

I already have a bama v2 tune. I have the roush CAI for looks and sound. It seems to add a little maybe 5hp.

Agreed. A new CAI is not going to add anything, especially if you have the Roush one already. What is your bama tune? octane? race tune? Bamas top tune is going to be 91/93 race tune.

You may see benefit moving to a tune from Lund racing or someone like that.

Frankly for me, it wasn't worth doing a tune on a stock 5.0. I chose to wait, save $$$ and go FI.

From what I read, the biggest benefit from a tune on a stock stang is if you have an A6.

I don't believe the Roush cold air attaches to the OEM snorkel ...not sure what benefits it offers.
