Need some help, cammed tune...

As soon as I seen it on here, knew I had to buy it!! I wanted to buy a SCT one from American Muscle. Tech guy says they prob won't make it. I then was talking with my Mustang buddy. They say it's not just a plug & play computer tune. Will change motor's internals. I don't know anything about motors', especially!!

I want this part! Not if it is more than plug & play device. Please teach me some, thanks!!

BAMA is coming out with a cam tune. Our American Muscle rep Chris Rose has already posted about it here. You need to call bama to ask about it, instead of AM.

Also, it does not chance the internals. It is just plug and play. Your friend is thinking about true cams, and this tune is fake cam sounds.

What I was thinking, just couldn't come up with real words! I asked SCT if they'll make it. Talked with a Brian Lilliard. He said they would not. I found that Evolution Perf that can add a custom tune to the SCT. I sent GearHeads in DFW an e-mail about doing it.

This sounds more like it! Thanks!!

Don't talk to SCT, talk to bama. The company that makes the tuner doesn't care, it's the company that writes the tunes, which for American muscle is bama.

What other information do you need? Your friend is wrong. End of story.

Are you sure you don't mean "canned tune?" which is simply an off-the-rack tune for your engine with its specific moeds.

Or at least spend a couple of weeks reading through these threads carefully to glean all the necessary information before deciding on which mods to get.

Which tune to get is the one mod that I'm still unsure about.

Everyone says that the one they have is great, all the companies say theirs is the best (not surprise)

i dont care what these places say, the best thing to do is have your car tuned on a dyno. Not every car is the same.

Plus 1...and if you buy the tuner from american muscle you can keep getting the tune modified til the car sounds and drives like you want it to. It's unlimited tunes for life. A dyno tune is great but seriously, unless your boosted not really worth the cost. The American muscle/bama tunes deal is the best one going

Come on. The same factory and assembly line. They are as close to identical as it's gonna get. A custom tune really isn't worth the 500 bucks and then buying the tuner over and above. Bama is the best deal going. Unless your boosted then a dyno tune is a must but even nitrous can be tuned for on the tuner.

Yes. Dual overhead cams with variable valve timing make that possible.
