I just put a JBA H-pipe with cat delete pipe in. Put Borla over the axle pipes with no res. And with my SLPs. WOW its louder then any other Ive heard. I love it but its a lil obnoxious. Guess I have to trade in the SLPs (dont want too) but i dont know what axle backs to get. I want it LOUD like my stock with SLPs were.....ANY HELP PLEASE

 

Borla S-Types or FRPP Sports should do the trick. Post a Video of it

Wait, so your SLPs were too loud? Is that why they are obnoxious? Or is it the sound quality?

 

Sound quality is obnoxious. No cats res removed and SLPs

 

Then junk the SLPs and get a quality sounding exhaust like stainless work. Borla, roush, and gt500 mufflers are ok, but not that loud.

 

In my opinion, all stainless mufflers sound crappy. Just too high pitched for me. The welded aluminum mufflers have a much better tone for my taste.

stainless steel x-pipe and gt 500 mufflers give great sound. rev under load they sound better than no load. it is just too bad you can not enjoy the sound of them while driving. they pleasure everyone outside the car though.
here is a dyno run run of that set up so you know what i am talking about.

 

Hate the big unfinished muffler on the GT-500s. Love the roush as it looks good and can use another tip but hear there no good with no cats. Thinking Kooks but cant find many clips. Borla sounds good but hate rolled tip.

 

Flowmaster has some good options for toning down the DBs a bit. The Force 2 is the tamest of the options...but honestly running no cats is going to be louder no matter what. You might have to get a resonator added before the axle to really tone it down...or, put your Cats back on.

 

so you have no mufflers on your car at all? did you like not expect it to be loud?

 

I knew it would be loud. I like it loud its just a obnoxious quality. I just spent the money a ordered Borla S. Got them from AM who price matched Jegs so I saved $100. Just a FYI for anyone looking for a set. Now I have to cross my fingers and hope they sound good

 

I heard the same set up you have not loud at all.If it's to loud then your to old.....lmao. Oh that's right it was on your car. Anyone reading these post it was insanely loud. You don't know till you try.I know I didn't even think about the slp's making it a straight pipe system.
