Umm... What? There are many coyote motors that are into the 700 that have been running for 1000's of miles, is it gonna be in it for the long haul? Probably not. But I've seen far less blown sc motors than I have NA motors that's for sure

Your CAI will be changed when you put on your forced induction. In the mean time it's not necessarily a waste. Btw, your hp build seems a little skewed, the higher you go in power the more it costs, and it's an exponential growth. 400 rwhp will cost a few hundred, 600 hp will cost a few thousand and 1000 hp will easily cost you 10k or more, and that's assuming you try to do it on a stock block, which I do not recommend, and I don't think anyone on here would lol. Just saying brother

Will the CAI give you a little more HP? Sure. Will you have to change it during your next phase of modding? Yes. So whether or not it is a waste, is up to you.

You'll usually want to have your endgame in mind, and only do mods that will contribute toward that. Otherwise, you'll looking at a lot of wasted money when you have to sell the parts that don't fit your plan anymore.

If you wanna get to 600HP now, just throw a SC on. But realize that the higher you go, the more likely you are to start breaking parts and you'll have to upgrade them accordingly.

Take a look at MMR. I remember seeing a video a little while back with a 5.0L of theirs in the 7 second range.

I think they only used the block, nothing about that car is comparable. I wouldn't be surprised if that car is knocking at the 2000hp range and $200,000.......

I didn't mean he'd be running 7 seconds overnight. But they have a lot of parts for high-HP builds. So it might be good for him to take a look at.

Def give MMR a look at. That's who'll be doing my build.

Ohh, their 7 second Coyote uses a fair amount of parts that come on a 5.0 motor and are just upgraded. The crank is a Boss 302 that's race prepped. The heads are ported Boss 302 heads. The block is a 5.0 block that's treated to handle the stress. Sure, very expensive but still very impressive that it's still a 302 motor.

He never said he was gonna keep it stock and just throw 40lbs of boost at it. Although that would be a fun video to watch.
