my 2011 GT needs new shifter, best?

I need a new shifter for my 2011 GT. I know of the Steeda, Barton & MGW.
I miss 3rd....occasionally sometimes.....
Anyone have input on shifters and why they like 1 more than another...
Thanks.

If you're going to just daily drive the car maybe a Steeda or Barton rear bracket, can't speak for the MGW but of course everyone loves it. I personally think the best fix is the BF bracket though it does have a rattle in some people's cars that can be annoying, there is a retrofit fix in the works however.

Put in a Barton this summer..very nice short throws..a little buzzing if I rest my hand on the shifter...so I try not to do that...a little tricky install but with a friend we put it in in about an our on floor jacks...one guy on top and one guy under the car........

I went with the MGW shifter for my '11 GT and highly recommend it. Definitely helped with the 2-3 shift at WOT. The factory shifter in the MT-82 leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to racing and high rpm shifting.

If you want the best, get the MGW. Anything less is not worth it in the long run for the simple fact that you will not be happy with anything less.

I would disagree. I love my barton shifter/bracket, replacing it with something else hasn't even crossed my mind.

And fwiw, a friend of mine sold his barton setup to buy an MGW shifter. According to him the MGW is extremely overrated

Love my Barton and 2-post bracket. The Blowfish Bracket has been getting a lot of attention, too, though.

MGW is leaps and bounds the best in the business. Absolutely love mine. And get lots of compliments on the blue striped shifter ball.

The barton bracket on its own will help with the third gear shift and will not increase noise.

I absolutely love the MGW on my 2014 GT TP. Install was easy and it is bulletproof.

The MGW is the answer to your prayers. I was a doubter but was convinced to give it a go. Its a game changer, plain and simple.

Installed MGW 6 months ago in my 11 GT/CS, it's rock solid.
You won't be disappointed.
